Clinical analysis of selective arterial embolization for hemorrhoid hemorrhage
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of minimally invasive selective arterial embolization in the treatment of hemorrhoid hemorrhage, and to change the traditional surgical mode from open to closed endovascular therapy,so as to achieve the transformation of the intraoperative route to the intraoperative route. Methods 17 cases of hemorrhoids patients with accurate guid-ance of DSA chose to go to the superior rectal artery and its left and right branches, and then were sent to the micro-spring coil via microcatheter for embolization to block the blood supply artery of hemorrhoids. Results All 17 patients successfully completed the operation,16 patients were successfully embolize once,l patient was successfully embolize three times, and the intraoperative vital signs were stable. After 6 to 12 months of follow-up,all patients had no bleeding,no hemorrhoid prolapse after defecation, and the dis-comfort disappeared. Conclusion The minimally invasive interventional therapy for hemorrhoid hemorrhage by selective arterial em-bolization via vascular approach has the characteristics of less trauma, less pain, rapid hemostasis and accurate positioning, which has opened up a new therapeutic approach for hemorrhoid patients and is expected to become a new method of minimally invasive and ac-curate therapy for hemorrhoids.
