Radioactive Geophysical Characteristics of Queershan-Cuojiaoma Granite Body in Western Sichuan and the Next Direction of Mineralization Search
This article takes Queershan-Cuojiaoma granite body in the northern part of Yidun Island Arc as the research object. It systematically conducts geological surveys ranging from 1∶250 000 to 1∶50 000,surface gamma spectral area measurements, with comprehensive geological and geophysical profile measurements, trench exploration and soil stripping cataloging work.As a consequence,it results shows that the main stratigraphic(lithological)background values and their distribution patterns are generally understood. The background value of radioactive element content and its distribution pattern in the area have been determined, and two favorable areas for uranium ore formation have been preliminarily identified in Queershan and Yindo areas.Among them, the radioactive high field in Queershan area is concentrated in Queershan tectonic alteration zone and its periphery, which coincides with N-NW trend of the fracture tectonics. The hydrothermal alteration is developed. The radioactive high field in Yindo area is concentrated in Yindo uranium site and its periphery. Its spreading direction coincides with NW-SE Dalangsong groove fracture, which is controlled by the tectonic hydrothermal activity. It provides a basis for the next step of uranium exploration in the area.It is controlled by tectonic hydrothermal activity, which provides a basis for the next uranium exploration in the area.
