Metallogenic Geological Characteristics and Metallogenic Model of Ferromanganese Deposits in Nankang District Area,South Qin Mountains
The study area is located in Yuntai-Miba,also in Indosinian-Yanshanian Au-Ag-Mo-Cu-Pb-Zn-Sb-nonmetallic metallogenic belt of Southern Qinling Mountains.Since Caledonian period, this region has experienced a long and complex tectonic movement, and it entered Qinling trough dominated by rifting.A large number of ore-forming materials of the ancient land were transported to the continental margin trough, which completed the accumulation of iron and manganese and formed the source layer. In the later tectonic environment, the ferro-manganese in the source layer was eluted and enriched in the interlayer fault zone to form industrial manganese ore bodies.More than ten iron and manganese ore bodies have been delineated in the area, and the ore bodies mainly occur in the shallow Marine clastic rock of Zhuowukuo Formation of Silurian Bailongjiang Group.Controlled by the interlayer sliding fault, the ore-bodies are layered, lentil, lenticular or irregular. Some ore-bodies are branched or multilayered. The deposit type belongs to sedimentary-eluvial transformation type.
