A Research on Classification and Grading Management of Manganese Mine Roof in Eastern Guizhou Based on LEC Method
Manganese resources in eastern Guizhou region are abundant, all of which are sedimentary manganese carbonate deposits. The ore bodies are produced in a layered or quasi layered manner, which is basically consistent with the occurrence of surrounding rocks. In studying the stability and combination characteristics of the roof surrounding rock exposed by manganese mining in eastern Guizhou region, the characteristics of the roof surrounding rock of the manganese mine in the region, namely the characteristics of the manganese bearing rock series, were summarized. It classifies the roof of manganese deposits based on the characteristics of manganese bearing rock formations.Considering the safety requirements,if time is in stability requirements,we think that the allowable empty roof span and personnel density of different types of tunnels or mining areas are in different types of roof surrounding rocks. The Operating Condition Hazard Assessment(LEC)method was used to evaluate the risk level of roof surrounding rocks in different types of tunnels or mining areas. It will be dividing them into four levels:red, orange, yellow, and blue.It is corresponding to major risk, major risk, general risk and low risk.At the same time, the danger level of the roof is quantified and classified into four levels:Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,and Ⅳ.We are proposing corresponding graded management measures for roof panels with different risk levels to achieve graded management of roof panels, effectively to reduce the incidence of roof accidents and ensure safety production.
