Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Direction of PL10451 Gold Deposit in Tanzania
The PL10451 gold mining area is located in the II-level metallogenic belt—the Enzega metallogenic belt of the Archean greenstone belt type gold metallogenic area around Victoria Lake in Tanzania. This metallogenic belt is characterized by developed structure, strong magmatic activity,a superior metallogenic environment, and great prospecting potential.Through large-scale geological, geophysical, and geochemical exploration,as well as deep borehole verification, four ore-bearing structural alteration zones were identified in the study area, and four gold orebodies were delineated.Preliminary research results indicate that the gold deposits in the study area are of the tectonic altered rock type, controlled by shear zones, with distinct wall rock alteration characteristics.Specifically, silicification, chloritization, pyritization, and limonitization are most closely associated with gold mineralization. The ore mineral assemblage primarily consists of native gold, pyrite, quartz, and chlorite, and the gold deposit(mineralization)body exhibits characteristics of'medium-low resistance, high polarization'induced polarization anomalies. It is preliminarily considered that the near north-south trending tectonic belt and the junction of geophysical and geochemical anomalies are favorable areas for mineralization and can serve as the main prospecting direction for future work.
