Characteristics and Genesis of Mineralization Zones in Chaganuoer Copper Polymetallic Mining Area,Abaga Qi Inner Mongolia
The Chaganuoer copper polymetallic mineralization has superior mineralization geology and huge prospecting potential, but the exploration level is still shallow. On the basis of studying the basic geology of the research area and previous work, the geological characteristics of the Chaganuoer copper polymetallic deposit were studied through field geological investigation, sampling, and testing analysis, and the genesis of the deposit was explored. The research results indicate that the Chagan Nur copper polymetallic mineralization body is developed within the skarn body of the contact zone between the diorite intrusive rock and the limestone or near the altered diorite branches. The mining area mainly develops the No.Ⅰ and No.Ⅱ skarn mineralization zones, with local copper and molybdenum(tungsten)mineralization within the zones. The industrial copper ore bodies are mainly distributed in the near east-west oriented Ⅰ and Ⅱ skarn mineralization zones. The ore bodies in the area are mainly concealed and blind, with primary ore as the main ore and less oxidized ore.The mineral composition of metallic minerals mainly includes pyrite, chalcopyrite, molybdenite, and magnetite, followed by scheelite and ilmenite, and occasionally galena and sphalerite;malachite and azurite can be seen on the surface. The beneficial elements in the ore are mainly copper, with a minimum grade of 0.20%,a maximum grade of 3.15%,and an average grade of 0.58% .The surrounding rocks of the ore body have undergone alteration, including limonitization, peacock petrification, skarnization, silicification, epidote, chloritization, and kaolinite. The genesis type of the deposit is a medium high temperature hydrothermal skarn type superimposed genesis deposit, with four major prospecting indicators.
