Suitability Evaluation for Land Reclamation of Damaged Land in Mining Areas Using Rough Set Theory
To build a more reasonable evaluation model for the suitability of land reclamation damaged by mining activities, leveraging the knowledge discovery and data mining capabilities of Rough Set Theory(RST),a model for conditional attribute reduction was developed to effectively express the minimal knowledge. The final weight of each evaluation criterion was determined using the linear weighted combination method. The evaluation model simplifies the complex and tedious calculation process while ensuring the effectiveness and rationality of the evaluation outcomes.Based on field surveys and analysis of land damaged in the Fengda coal mine area, evaluation units with representative characteristics were selected for assessing land reclamation suitability. The results demonstrate that the Rough Set Theory-based evaluation model is accurate and rational, and can basically meet the actual production demand.
