Discussion on Surgical Techniques and Methods for Repairing Skin Defects of Nose and Lip with Rotating Flaps
Objective To explore the surgical techniques and methods for repairing skin defects of the nose and lip with rotating flaps. Methods A total of 90 patients with naso-lip skin defects admitted to the outpatient department of the author's hospital from April 2020 to April 2022 were selected.According to the patient's treatment intention, they were divided into three groups, the rotating skin flap group, the advancing skin flap group, and the Z-shaped skin flap group, with 30 cases in each group, and were respectively given the rotating skin flap, advancing skin flap, and Z-shaped skin flap for repair. The survival rate of skin flaps, scar status, efficacy and appearance, total pain score and pain intensity, quality of life, psychological status, complications, and satisfaction of patients in each group were analyzed. Results There were significant differences among the three groups in terms of flap survival, scar status, efficacy and appearance, total pain score, pain intensity, quality of life, psychological status, complications, and satisfaction(P<0.05),with statistical significance. The overall satisfaction rate of patients in the rotating flap group was 100.00%,while the overall satisfaction rate of patients in the advancing flap group and the Z-shaped flap group was only 86.67%and 80.00%.In addition, the survival rate, efficacy, and appearance of the flap in the rotary flap group were higher than those in the other groups(all P<0.05),while the degree of pain and complications were lower than those in the other groups(P<0.05).The nasal and labial skin defects of the patients were better cured. Conclusion There are various surgical methods for repairing the skin defects of the nose and lip, with their respective advantages and disadvantages.By selecting the correct surgical methods and emphasizing the operational skills during the operation, more ideal surgical results can be achieved. The effect of rotating flap in repairing skin defects of nose and lip is significant.
