Observation of Mechanical Properties and Aesthetic Effects of Two Kinds of Implants for Repairing Dental Defects
Objective To observe the mechanical properties and aesthetics of titanium alloy implant and pure titanium implant in the restoration of dentition defects.Methods The clinical data of patients with dentition defects admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to September 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different restoration methods of titanium alloy implant and pure titanium implant,the patients were divided into 79 cases(108 teeth)in observation group and 81 cases(112 teeth)in control group.The effective rate of implantation,masticatory efficiency,total bite force of teeth,periodontal health indexes,incidence rates of complications and aesthetics scores were compared between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of implantation between the two groups(P>0.05),but the markedly effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the masticatory efficiency in the two groups was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the masticatory efficiency in observation group was significantly higher compared with that in control group(P<0.05).The total bite force of teeth in the two groups was gradually increased with time,and the total bite force in observation group at each time point was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The plaque index,gingival index,and sulcus bleeding index were reduced in the two groups compared with those before surgery,and the above indexes in observation group were significantly lower compared with those in control group(P<0.05).The incidence rate of peri-implantitis was significantly lower in observation group than that in control group(P<0.05).The pink aesthetic score and white aesthetic score were significantly higher in observation group compared to control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with pure titanium implant,titanium alloy implant for patients with dentition defects has stronger mechanical properties,and can better improve the masticatory ability and bite ability,reduce the incidence rate of peri-implantitis and enhance the aesthetic effect.
