Autologous tooth transplantation is a feasible method for the treatment of missing teeth clinically,which has good biocompatibility and aesthetic effect.In recent years,it has been gradually combined with orthodontic treatment to effectively solve the problem of missing tooth space in orthodontic treatment,especially for adolescents whose dental and maxillofacial system has not been fully developed.Meanwhile,orthodontic treatment before tooth transplantation improves the prognostic efficacy of tooth transplantation.The purpose of this article is to review the management of missing tooth space in orthodontics and the advantages,clinical indications and research status of autogenous tooth transplantation assisted orthodontic treatment.
