Objective The aim of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of fire needle therapy combined with Chinese medicine mask,Xiaochuang Powder,in the treatment of facial acne.Methods 66 patients with facial acne were randomly allocated to treatment group(combining fire needle and medicine)and control group(fire needle).After treatment,31 and 32 cases were actually included in each of the two groups.The fire needle therapy was given once a week,and the traditional Chinese medicine mask therapy was given once every other day for 4 weeks.The curative effect was evaluated at the end of 2 weeks and 4 weeks,and the adverse reactions occurring during the treatment were recorded.Follow-up assessments were conducted 1 month after treatment completion.Results After 2 weeks of treatment,the skin lesion scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05).And after 4 weeks of treatment,the skin lesion score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.77%,while that of the control group was 78.13%.The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.There was a significant difference between them(P＜0.05).Conclusion Fire needle therapy combined with Xiaochuang Powder mask is effective and safe in treating facial acne and it can be widely used in clinical practice.
