Rhytidectomy,also known as Facelift,has been favoured by patients and paid attention by academics because it can remove wrinkles efficiently and maintain the surgical results for a long time.In recent years,Chinese scholars have done a lot of work in the field of facial rejuvenation surgery,many scholars have reviewed the research progress of middle face lift from different perspectives.However,there are few articles that comprehensively summarize the most relevant anatomical details combined with the evolution of surgical methods and complications.This paper will describe the relationship between the anatomy and the evolution of surgical methods one by one according to the historical process of wrinkle removal,and finally describe the incidence of complications,prevention and treatment in detail.
