Study on the Relationship Between Treatment Intention and Aesthetic Perception in Patients with Congenital Ptosis
Objective To study the therapeutic willingness of patients with ptosis and its correlation with aesthetic perception. Methods A total of 87 patients with ptosis diagnosed in the author's hospital from August 2018 to October 2022 were selected as the research object. The patients'willingness to treat was understood through questionnaires, and they were divided into willing group and unwilling group according to their willingness to treat. The patients'aesthetic perception ability was evaluated by Golden Beauty Task,GBT),and the influencing factors of ptosis patients'willingness to treat were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results Among the 87 patients with ptosis,51 had the treatment intention, accounting for 58.62%of the total number. The OAJ and SAJ scores were(15.23±4.15)and(14.88±3.76)respectively.Pearson correlation coefficient analysis showed that the OAJ(r=0.452,P<0.05)and SAJ(r=0.483,P<0.05)scores were positively correlated with the treatment intention.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that OAJ(OR=1.575),SAJ(OR=1.739),age(OR=0.142),gender(OR=0.194),and family annual per capita income(OR=1.100)were all the related factors affecting the treatment willingness(P<0.05).The ROC curve analysis showed that the AUCs of OAJ,SAJ,age, gender, and annual household income per capita were 0.743,0.783,0.625,0.606,and 0.721,respectively(all P<0.05).Conclusion The better the aesthetic perception ability of patients with ptosis, the stronger their willingness to treat. At the same time, family income, age, gender and other factors affect the willingness to treat patients with ptosis.
