Efficacy and Safety of Isotretinoic Acid Combined with Azithromycin and Adapalin Gel in the Treatment of Moderate and Severe Acne
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of isotretinoic acid combined with azithromycin and adapalin gel in the treatment of moderate and severe acne. Methods 99 patients with moderate and severe acne admitted to the author's hospital from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected and divided into the control group 1(33 cases),the control group 2(33 cases)and the observation group(33 cases)by random number table method. The control group 1 was treated with 0.1%adapalin gel.The control group 2 was treated with 0.1%adapalin gel and azithromycin. On the basis of the control group 2,the observation group was treated with isovitamin A acid soft capsule, all three groups were treated for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy, the satisfaction rate and the occurrence of adverse reactions were analyzed in the three groups after 4 weeks of treatment. The level of serum sex hormone and the improvement of skin barrier function in the three groups were compared before and after 4 weeks of treatment. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate and total satisfaction rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group 1,the control group 2(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the levels of serum testosterone(T),progesterone(P)and sex hormone binding protein(SHBG)in the observation group decreased compared with those before treatment, and which were lower than those in the control group 1,the control group 2(P<0.05).The levels of serum estradiol(E2)and follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)in the observation group increased compared with those before treatment, and which were higher than those in the control group 1,the control group 2(P<0.05);the cuticle water content of the three groups increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group 1,the control group 2.The percutaneous water loss, scores of acne comprehensive grading system(GAGS),erythema and pigmentation of the three groups decreased, and the observation group was lower than the control group 1,the control group 2(all P<0.05).During treatment, there was no significant difference in the incidence of total adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group 1,the control group 2(P>0.05).Conclusion Isotretinoic acid combined with azithromycin and adapalin gel can effectively improve the serum sex hormone levels and skin barrier function of moderate and severe acne patients with moderate and severe acne, improve their satisfaction rate with cosmetic effects, and have good clinical efficacy without increasing the occurrence of adverse reactions.
