Observation on Therapeutic Effects of Q-switched 1 064 nm Nd︰YAG Laser Combined with Phonophoresis with Tranexamic Acid in the Treatment of Chloasma
Objective This study aimed at investigate the cosmetic results of Q-switched 1 064 nm Nd:YAG laser combined with phonophoresis with tranexamic acid in the treatment of chloasma. Methods A total of 60 patients with chloasma who were treated in the People's Hospital of Dazu between April 2022 and August 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into the Nd:YAG laser group, the tranexamic acid group and the combined treatment group with 20 patients in each group.Patients in the three groups were treated with Q-switched 1 064 nm Nd:YAG laser, phonophoresis with tranexamic acid, and Q-switched 1 064 nm Nd:YAG laser combined with phonophoresis with tranexamic acid, respectively. The three groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy, adverse reactions and 6-month recurrence rate. Results The total treatment response rate in the combined treatment group were higher when compared with those in the Nd:YAG laser group and the tranexamic acid group(P<0.05).The Melasma Area and Severity Index(MASI)score of the combined treatment group after 12 weeks of treatment was significantly lower when compared with the scores of the Nd:YAG laser group and the tranexamic acid group(P<0.05).The total satisfaction rate in the combined treatment group was higher when compared with those in the Nd:YAG laser group and the tranexamic acid group(P<0.05).The incidence rates of adverse reactions(15.00%,15.00%and 5.00%)in the three groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The recurrence rate in the combined treatment group was lower than that in the Nd:YAG laser group and tranexamic acid group(P<0.05).Conclusion Q-switched 1 064 nm Nd:YAG laser combined with phonophoresis with tranexamic acid is superior to single therapy in the treatment of chloasma. In addition,it is safe and the recurrence rate is lower.
