Analysis of Clinical Application Effect of Double Eyelid Operation with Palpebral Margin Incision
Objective To compare the clinical effect of double eyelid operation with traditional double eyelid operation with marginal incision. Methods A total of 185 patients undergoing double eyelid surgery with palpebral margin incision and 100 patients undergoing double eyelid surgery with traditional incision in the author's hospital were retrospectively enrolled as study group and control group between January 2020 and January 2023,respectively.The satisfaction rates of cosmetic effect and surgical status after treatment, scars degree[Vancouver scar scale(VSS),patient and observer scar assessment scale(POSAS)]and occurrence of complications after 3 months of treatment in the two groups were observed. Results After treatment, satisfaction rate of cosmetic effect in study group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The operation time in study group was longer than that in control group, detumescence time and natural recovery time were significantly shorter than those in control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment, scores of VSS,observer scar assessment scale(OSAS)and patient scar assessment scale(PSAS)in study group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in study group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Double eyelid surgery with palpebral margin incision has good cosmetic effect, rapid postoperative recovery, mild scar degree and good safety.
