Comparative Study of Fractional CO2 Laser and Nd︰YAG Laser in the Treatment of Acne with Depressed Scars
Objective To compare the effects of fractional carbon dioxide(CO2)laser and Nd︰YAG laser in the treatment of acne with depressed scars. Methods Ninety-four patients with acne depressed scarring admitted to the author's hospital from March 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into two groups according to the order of consultation in accordance with the numerical table method.Patients in the control group and the observation group were treated with Nd:YAG laser and fractional CO2 laser, respectively. The two groups were compared in terms of Vancouver Scar Scale scores, depression scores and smoothness scores before treatment and after 4 times of treatment, overall aesthetic effect, adverse reactions, and facial aesthetic satisfaction. Results The overall aesthetic effect in the observation group was significantly better when compared with that in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group(95.74%)was significantly higher when compared with that in the control group(82.98%)(P<0.05).After treatment, scar score, depression score and smoothness score of the observation group were significantly lower when compared with those of the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were close(P>0.05).Patients in the observation group were more satisfied with facial aesthetics than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with Nd:YAG laser, fractional CO2 laser treatment for acne with depressed scars can better improve scar condition and facial aesthetics, with better overall aesthetic effect and higher patient satisfaction.
