Application of Minimally Invasive Tooth Extraction in the Removal of Impacted Mandibular Wisdom Teeth and Its Influence on Postoperative Pain and Aesthetic Satisfaction
Objective Analysis of minimally invasive extraction techniques for patient pain and aesthetic satisfaction after extraction of impacted wisdom teeth embedded in the mandible. Methods 101 patients with impacted wisdom teeth embedded in the mandible from January 2017 to March 2022 in the Department of Stomatology,Lujiang County People's Hospital were selected and divided into minimally invasive group(n=58,extracted by minimally invasive extraction technique)and splitting crown group(n=43,extracted by chiseling bone splitting crown method)according to the extraction method.Comparison of surgical indications, postoperative pain, mouth opening restriction and aesthetic satisfaction, perioperative complications of different extraction method. Results The operative time, intraoperative bleeding and bone healing time were less in the minimally invasive group than in the splitting crown group, all with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The postoperative pain and mouth opening restriction 0 degree + Ⅰ degree ratio were higher in the minimally invasive group than in the splitting crown group, all with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The postoperative overall aesthetic satisfaction rate in the minimally invasive group was 96.55%(56/58)higher than that in the splitting crown group 83.72(36/43),and the perioperative overall complication rate was 10.34%(6/58)lower than that in the splitting crown group 27.91%(12/58),all with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Minimally invasive extraction teeth technique for the removal of impacted wisdom teeth embedded in the mandible has high surgical efficiency, and reduce postoperative pain and mouth opening restrictions of patients with high aesthetic satisfaction and few perioperative complications.
