Role of Continuous Nursing Under Medical Consortium Model on Home Self-management in Patients with Orthodontics and Its Influence on Orthodontic Effect
Objective To explore the role of continuous nursing under medical consortium model on home self-management in patients with orthodontics and its influence on orthodontic effect. Methods 72 patients who carried out routine nursing in the author's department from December 2021 to May 2022 were selected as control group, and 72 patients who underwent continuous nursing under medical consortium model from July 2022 to November 2022 were enrolled as observation group.Self-management ability, orthodontic effect, oral maintenance, pink esthetic effect and return visit were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of self-management behavior,self-management environment and self-management awareness were increased in both groups, and the scores in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of orthodontics in observation group after intervention was higher compared with that in control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the gingival index and plaque index in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the pink esthetic score in observation group was higher compared with that in control group(P<0.05).During intervention, the on-time return visit rate in observation group was higher than that in control group while the rate of bracket shedding and rate of mucosal damage were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of continuous nursing under medical consortium model in patients with orthodontics can enhance the home self-management ability, and improve the orthodontic effect, oral maintenance, pink esthetic effect and return visit.
