Research Progress on Aesthetic Evaluation Indicators and Influencing Factors of Profile in Adult Skeletal Class Ⅱ Division 1 Patients
Skeletal Class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion is a common clinical malocclusion that not only affects the patient's bite and chewing function, but also seriously affects the patient's appearance and even their mental health.Seeking improvement in profile is often the main motivation for patients to seek medical attention. In clinical practice, subjective and objective evaluation and analysis of the patient's profile before and after treatment can help clarify the patient's diagnosis and treatment intention and the changes in the patient's profile after treatment. The results of aesthetic analysis of profile are often different due to the different subjective and objective evaluation methods and the influence of the evaluators'educational background, region, race and age. Therefore, understanding the advantages and disadvantages of different subjective and objective evaluation methods and the aesthetic differences of different populations can guide clinical practice in the treatment of such malocclusion, predict the aesthetic effect of profile correction, facilitate doctor-patient communication, reduce medical risks, and reduce doctor-patient disputes.
