Observation of the Postoperative Effect of Fangji Huangqi Decoction on Abdominoplasty
Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the postoperative effects of Fangji Huangi Decoction on reducing congestion in skin flaps and early complications after abdominoplasty. Methods Thirty-seven healthy female patients undergoing abdominoplasty were randomly assigned to either an experimental group or a control group. The corresponding surgical procedures were selected based on the degree of abdominal wall laxity for each group. The experimental group received oral administration Fangji Huangqi Decoction orally for 28 days postoperatively, while the control group received an equal amount of placebo with no pharmacological effects.Various parameters including the preoperative and postoperative abdominal scores, changes in inflammatory markers, and occurrence of complications were observed and compared between the two groups. Results Compared to the control group, the patients in the experimental group had significantly higher abdominal scores at 2 months and 6 months postoperatively, with statistical significance(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups postoperatively(P>0.05).In the early postoperative period, the levels of VEGF and TNF-ɑ in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, indicating that Fangji Huangqi Decoction can reduce the inflammatory response level in patients, thus improving the early postoperative outcomes. Conclusion Fangqi Huangqi Decoction demonstrated the potential to improve the inner environment.Early intervention with Fangji Huangqi Decoction post-operatively can reduce the inflammatory reaction of patients, improving the state of blood stasis and edema in the operative area, finally improving the overall postoperative results.
