Comparison of Aesthetic Effect and Long-term Curative Effect between High Inlays and All-ceramic Crown in the Restoration of Dental Cavity Defects
Objective A comparative study of the aesthetic outcomes and prognosis between high inlays and all-ceramic crown in the restoration of dental cavity defects. Methods 120 patients with dental defects(229 teeth)admitted from June 2020 to January 2022 were selected and divided into control group(60 cases,113 teeth)and observation group(60 cases,116 teeth)by the random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional all-ceramic crown repair, and the observation group was given CAD/CAM all-ceramic onlay repair. The restoration time(dental preparation time, impression time and overall procedural time),repair effect on the 6th month,12th month and 18th month after treatment and changes in periodontal indicators and gingival creval fluid biochemical indicators[C-reactive protein(CRP),human CXC chemokine ligand 16(CXCL16),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)]before treatment and on the 3rd month after treatment were compared between the two groups, and the dental aesthetic satisfaction was compared. Results The dental preparation time, impression time and overall procedural time in observation group were significantly shorter than those in control group(P<0.05).The excellent and good repair rates in observation group and control group on the 6th month,12th month and 18th month after treatment were 100%and 100%,97.41%and 85.84%,and 96.55%and 83.19%respectively,and there was a statistical significance between the two groups on the 12th month and 18th month after treatment(P<0.05).At the 3rd month after treatment, the bleeding index(BI),plaque index(PLI),gingival index(GI)and levels of CRP,CXCL16 and IL-1β in gingival crevicular fluid were significantly decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and the above indexes and levels in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05),and the masticatory ability in both groups was significantly risen(P<0.05),and the masticatory ability in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(all P<0.05).The satisfaction of prosthesis in observation group(98.34%)was significantly higher than that in control group(81.67%)(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of CAD/CAM all-ceramic onlay repair technology has a significant clinical effect in the restoration of dental cavity defects, and it can significantly improve the periodontal status and inflammatory response, and it has good long-term repair, high aesthetic degree and high patient satisfaction.
