Analysis of Skin Scar after Herpes Zoster and Its Risk Factors
Objective To analyze the occurrence of skin scar after herpes zoster and its related influencing factors. Methods A total of 185 patients with herpes zoster who were treated in the author's hospital from April 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the research object.Data such as gender, age, previous medical history, severity, and location of the disease were collected. The patients were followed up for 6 months after the blisters subsided, and were divided into scar group and normal group according to the occurrence of skin scars. The risk factors of skin scar were analyzed by multi-factor Logistics. Results Finally,46 patients had skin scars,139 patients did not have skin scars, and the incidence of post-herpes zoster skin scars was 24.86% .The age and skin area of scar group were higher than that of normal group, the levels of serum IgA,IgG and IgM were lower than those of normal group, the proportion of herpes zoster on the face, the proportion of scab removal and the proportion of diabetes mellitus were higher than those of normal group(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistics regression analysis showed that age(OR=2.095,P=0.045),diabetes(OR=3.442,P=0.046),lesional extent(OR=1.467,P=0.010)and IgG level(OR=0.153,P=0.020)were all the independent risk factors for skin scar after herpes zoster. Conclusion The incidence of post-herpes zoster skin scar is high in patients with herpes zoster.Clinical management of older patients with diabetes should be strengthened, and the treatment of the skin lesion should be emphasized, while the level of immunoglobulin should be increased to reduce the formation of post-herpes zoster skin scar.
