The Impact of Invisible Orthodontic Treatment without Brackets on the Periodontal Index of Patients Undergoing Orthodontic Treatment and Its Aesthetic Effect Analysis
Objective To explore the impact of invisible orthodontic treatment without brackets on the periodontal index of orthodontic patients and its aesthetic effects. Methods 102 patients with orthodontic treatment admitted to Xingtai General Hospital of North China Medical and Health Group from September 2020 to September 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the control group(51 cases)and the observation group(51 cases)by random number table method. The control group received traditional fixed orthodontic surgery, while the observation group received invisible orthodontic surgery without brackets.Follow up for 6 months after treatment. The treatment effects after 6 months of follow-up,including oral occlusal function and periodontal index before and after 24 h of treatment, levels of factor in gingival crevicular fluid, dental aesthetic effects before and after 6 months of follow-up,and satisfaction with orthodontic correction after 6 months of follow-up of two groups were compared. Results After 6 months of follow-up,the rate of total effective in the observation group was 96.08%,which was higher than 84.31% in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, after 24 h of treatment, the chewing frequency, chewing efficiency, and maximum bite force of both groups decreased, but the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05);The gingival index, sulcus bleeding index, and plaque index of the control group all increased, but the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, after 6 months of follow-up,the levels of gingival crevicular fluid aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, and interleukin-1β;tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)of two groups all increased, but the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, after 6 months of follow-up,the proportion of patients with aesthetic effects on class I teeth in both groups increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group; The proportion of patients with aesthetic effects on class Ⅱ teeth in the observation group and Class Ⅲ teeth in both groups decreased, and the proportion of patients with aesthetic effects on class Ⅱ teeth in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After 6 months of follow-up,the satisfaction scores of chewing function, fixation function, comfort, language function, restoration shape, and coordination between restoration and adjacent teeth in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Invisible orthodontic technology without brackets could effectively reduce periodontal index and oral occlusal dysfunction, improve the level of relevant factors in orthodontic treatment patients, improve dental aesthetics, further improve treatment effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
