Analysis of Therapeutic Effect of Bracketless Invisible Orthodontics for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Malocclusion
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of bracketless invisible orthodontics on type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)complicated with malocclusion.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 43 patients with T2DM and malocclusion who were treated with bracketless invisible appliance at the hospital from January 2019 to January 2022.Correction effects,course of correction,periodontal health indicators,aesthetic effects of correction,quality of life and complications were analyzed.Results The total effect rate in this study was 95.35% .After correction,there were decreases in gingival index,plaque index,sulcus bleeding index,probing depth and the score for the influence on oral health,the score for aesthetic effects of correction increased.After correction,the incidence of complications was 2.33% .Conclusion Bracketless invisible orthodontics is effective in the treatment of patients with T2DM and malocclusion,which can improve periodontal indicators,patient comfort level and aesthetic effects,with good safety.
