Effect of Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablets and Transfer Factor Capsules Combined with Halometasone Cream in Treating Skin Lesion Repigmentation in Patients with Vitiligo
Objective To explore the clinical effect of compound glycyrrhizin tablets and transfer factor capsules combined with halometasone cream in the treatment of skin lesion repigmentation in patients with vitiligo. Methods 96 patients with vitiligo who were cured and treated in the author's hospital from March 2018 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects and were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 48 cases in each group by convenient sampling method. The control group was treated with halometasone cream, whereas the observation group was given combined therapy with compound glycyrrhizin tablets and transfer factor capsules on the basis of the control group. The adverse reactions, aesthetic indicators(skin lesion white spot area, skin lesion pigment score, repigmentation rate)and disease-related biochemical indicators[chemokine ligand 10(CXCL10),chemokine receptor 3(CXCR3),helper T cell 17(Th17),helper T cell 22(Th22)]after 3 months of treatment, immune function-related indicators[interferon-γ(IFN-γ),interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-17(IL-17)],antioxidant indicators[reactive oxygen species(ROS),superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA)]and thyroid function indicators[free triiodothyronine(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)]before treatment and after 3 months of treatment and recurrence rate after 6 months of treatment were compared between the two groups of patients. Results After 3 months of treatment, the skin pigment score and repigmentation rate in observation group was significantly higher compared with that in control group(P<0.05)while the skin lesion white spot area and disease-related biochemical indicators were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The levels of serum immune function-related indicators(IFN-γ,IL-17),antioxidant indicators(ROS,MDA)and thyroid function indicators in the two groups were declined after 3 months of treatment than those before treatment, and the above levels in observation group were significantly lower(P<0.05).The levels of IL-4 and SOD were risen compared with those before treatment, and the observation group had significantly higher levels(P<0.05).The recurrence rate in observation group at 6 months after treatment was significantly lower compared to control group(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in both groups of patients. Conclusion Compound glycyrrhizin tablets and transfer factor capsules combined with halometasone cream can effectively regulate the immune function and maintain the body's oxidative stress balance in patients with vitiligo, thereby relieving the skin lesions and it has a positive impact on thyroid function of patients with high safety.
