Application Effect of Preformed Titanium Mesh Combined with Collagen Membrane and PRF in Patients with Severe Bone Defects of Anterior Alveolar Ridge
Objective To evaluate the application effect of preformed titanium mesh combined with collagen membrane and platelet-rich fibrin(PRF)in patients with severe bone defects of anterior alveolar ridge.Methods A total of 202 patients with severe bone defects of anterior alveolar ridge admitted to West Branch of Qingdao Municipal Hospital were enrolled between January and December 2021.According to random number table method,they were divided into control group(101 cases,preformed titanium mesh combined with collagen membrane)and observation group(101 cases,PRF on basis of control group).The morphological changes of alveolar bone after treatment,periodontal indexes,aesthetic indexes and complications were compared between the two groups.Results At 6 and 12 months after treatment,increments of alveolar bone volume,height and width in observation group were greater than those in control group(P<0.05).At 6 months after implant restoration,there was no significant difference in plaque index(PLI),gingival index(GI)or probing depth(PD)between the two groups(P>0.05).At 6 months after treatment,Pink ethetic score(PES)in observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups at 12 months after treatment(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Application effect of preformed titanium mesh combined with collagen membrane and PRF is significant in patients with severe bone defects of anterior alveolar ridge,which can promote alveolar bone formation,provide a stable implant environment and improve aesthetic effect,with good safety.
