Effect of Recombinant Human Epidermal Growth Factor Facial Mask Combined with Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser on Skin Beauty and Recurrence in Patients with Freckles
Objective To investigate the effect of a recombinant human epidermal growth factor facial mask combined with Q-switched Nd∶YAG laser on skin aesthetics and recurrence in patients with freckles. Methods A total of 80 patients with freckles admitted to the dermatology department of the Affiliated People's Hospital of Chongqing Three Gorges Medical College from January 2020 to December 2022 were randomly divided into a control group(40 cases)and an experimental group(40 cases)using a random number table method. The control group was treated with Q-switched Nd∶YAG laser, while the experimental group received the recombinant human epidermal growth factor facial mask in addition to the Q-switched Nd∶YAG laser treatment. Both groups were treated for 3 months and followed up for 5 months. The efficacy after 3 months of treatment, skin characteristics, skin aesthetics before and after 3 months of treatment, adverse reactions during treatment, recurrence during follow-up,and satisfaction after 5 months of follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the experimental group after 3 months of treatment was 95.00%,higher than the 80.00% in the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment, the scores for wrinkles, brown spots, pores, texture, skin lesions, skin tone uniformity, and skin color in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, with the experimental group showing significantly lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions during the treatment period in the experimental group was 5.00%,with no statistically significant difference compared to the control group(7.50% )(P>0.05).The recurrence rate during the follow-up period was 2.50%,with no statistically significant difference compared to the control group(5.00% )(P>0.05).The total satisfaction rate in the experimental group after 5 months of follow-up was 95.00%,higher than the 77.50% in the control group(P<0.05).(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of recombinant human epidermal growth factor facial mask with Q-switched Nd∶YAG laser can improve skin characteristics and aesthetics in patients with freckles, enhance treatment efficacy and patient satisfaction, without significantly increasing the risk of adverse reactions or recurrence.
