To Explore the Use of Autologous Fat Transplantation in Chronic Infection after Prosthetic Rhinoplasty
Objective To explore the clinical effect of maintaining the nasal appearance with autologous granule fat transplantation immediately after prosthesis removal during chronic infection after prosthetic rhinoplasty. Methods Twenty-two patients with chronic infection after prosthetic rhinoplasty treated by my hospital from June 2019 to June 2023 were studied. After the complete removal of the prosthesis, the prosthetic cavity was rinsed repeatedly, then the wound chamber was scratched, and then the filtered autologous particle fat graft was transplanted to fill the prosthetic space.Primary operative healing rate, patient satisfaction and postoperative complications were observed. Results After a postoperative follow-up of 3 to 12 months, all patients healed initially, and the patients were 100% satisfied with the postoperative nasal appearance and morphology, and no serious complications occurred. Conclusion Fat transplantation for chronic infection after rhinoplasty is a feasible treatment method to be used as an adjuvant treatment for infection after rhinoplasty. It can improve the nasal morphology, reduce the complications of contractures after long-term hyperplasia, and increase the beauty of the nose,it can be used as a good auxiliary means to treat infection after rhinoplasty
