Surgical Resection and Cosmetic Suture Combined with Local Injection of Triamcinolone Acetonide Acetate in the Treatment of Auricular Keloid
Objective To observe the clinical and aesthetic effects of surgical resection and cosmetic suture combined with local injection of triamcinolone acetonide acetate in the treatment of auricular keloid. Methods 106 patients with auricular keloid admitted to otolaryngology department of the author's hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected and divided into conventional group and combined group by the random coin tossing method, with 53 cases in each group. The conventional group was given cosmetic suture after surgical resection, and the combined group was given local injection of triamcinolone acetonide acetate on the basis of the conventional group. The clinical efficacy,Vancouver scar scale(VSS),aesthetic satisfaction and occurrence of complications were observed in both groups. Results At 6 months after operation, the total effective rate of treatment in the combined group was higher than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).At 3 and 6 months after operation, the VSS scores of the combined group were lower than those of the conventional group(P<0.05),and the aesthetic satisfaction scores were higher than those of the conventional group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications(skin atrophy, local necrosis, and depigmentation)in the combined group was lower than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Surgical resection and aesthetic suture combined with local injection of triamcinolone acetonide acetate is safe and effective in the treatment of auricular keloid, and it has high aesthetic satisfaction of patients and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
