Application of an Autonomous Oral Implant Robot in Single-tooth Implant Surgery in Anterior Dental Aesthetic Zone
Objective To explore the analysis of the effect of autonomous oral implant robot and traditional freehand in single tooth implantation in the aesthetic area. Methods Forty-six patients who performed single tooth implant surgery in the aesthetic area of the author's department from May to November 2022 were selected as study subjects, and the patients were divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 23 patients in each group.Patients with traditional freehand implantation method as the control group and patients who completed implantation with the assistance of the autonomous oral implant robot as the test group. The length of surgery, deviation of implant angle, incidence of postoperative complications and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of surgery(14.61±2.43)min and the deviation of implant angle(0.73±0.44)° were better in the test group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was significantly lower in the test group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of patients in the test group(97.50% )was higher than that of the control group(65.22% ),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The implantation success rate at 6 months after surgery was higher in the test group than in the control group in both groups. Conclusion Compared with traditional freehand implantation, the autonomous oral implant robot-assisted aesthetic zone implantation is more in line with the"3A2B"implantation principle, which can improve implant placement accuracy, reduce the incidence of surgical complications, shorten the operation time, achieve aesthetic effects, and thus improve patient satisfaction.
