Clinical Efficacy of Attachment-bar Combinated Implant Overdenture in Restoration of Edentulous with Jaw Defects
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Attachment-Bar combinated implant overdenture in restoration of edentulous with jaw defects.Methods 26 Attachment-Bar combinated implant overdentures which applied in the hospital from October 2018 to September 2021 were followed up.12 of them used locator abutment while 14 used stud type attachment.The visual analogue scale(VAS)combined with clinical inspection were conducted to the patients to measure the clinical efficacy at 4 time points:1 month,3 month,6 month and 12 month following denture delivery.SPSS22.0 was used to analyze the data.Results On the same time points,the VAS scores of the two groups on esthetics,speaking ability,chewing ability,stability,comfortability did not have statistic difference(P>0.05).At the first time point,the VAS scores of speaking ability,chewing ability,comfortability are lower than the other three time points(P<0.05).The esthetics and stability did not has statistic difference in the four time points(P>0.05).Satisfied stability of the dentures was detected,and no peri-implantitis,retention bar loosening,denture defect and fracture happened during the follow-up.Conclusion The Attachment-Bar combinated implant overdenture showed satisfied clinical efficacy in restoration of edentulous with jaw defects.
