Research Progress of Regenerative Medicine in Repairing Diabetic Foot Ulcers
Diabetic foot ulcers(DFUs)are serious complications of advanced diabetes and one of the main causes of disability and death in diabetic patients. The incidence of DFUs is increasing year by year in China and has become a major public health problem that increases social burden.DFUs is caused by multiple internal and external factors, including changes in skin microenvironment, infection and trauma caused by glucose metabolism disorders, which are often difficult to cure and consume high medical resources. So finding more effective treatments is very important. At present, the conventional treatment of diabetic foot wounds has been gradually replaced by regenerative medicine therapy such as stem cells,platelet-rich plasma, exosomes and functional RNAs.Based on the latest research progress, this paper reviews the regenerative medical repair methods of refractory diabetic foot wounds.
