Advances in Imaging Diagnosis of Superficial Hemangioma and Vascular Malformation
Superficial hemangiomas and vascular malformations are a large category of diseases in plastic surgery. Most of these diseases are difficult to remove, with high recurrence rate, even lead to massive bleeding,life-threatening.How to define the type of the lesion before treatment, understand the scope and blood supply information as accurately as possible,as to select the appropriate treatment, get more guidance and better prognosis assessment, greatly depend on the assistance of imaging examination, including ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, digital subtraction angiography, ect. With the development of imaging technologies, many new technologies appeared, meeting more clinical demands. In this paper,we will review the advantages and disadvantages of the commonly used imaging technologies and some new technologies in superficial hemangiomas and vascular malformations, and discuss the prospects of the them.
