Effect of Platelet-rich Fibrin on Wound Healing and Scar of Moderate Burn
Objective To investigate the influence of platelet-rich fibrin(PRF)on residual wound healing and scar appearance in patients with moderate burn wounds. Methods Sixty patients with moderate burns treated in the author's hospital from December 2022 to October 2023 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group with a ratio of 1:1 by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine dressing change, and the observation group was treated with PRF(n=30).The frequency of dressing change, granulation growth time, wound healing rate, wound healing time, wound pain, scar after wound healing and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the number of dressing changes of observation group was decreased, the granulation growth time and wound healing time was shortened(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the wound healing rate at 1 week,2 weeks, and 3 weeks after treatment of the observation group had improved(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the VAS score of the observation group showed a decrease compared to the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the VSS score showed a more decrease in the observation group(P<0.05),and the satisfaction with scar appearance showed a more increase(P<0.05).In terms of adverse reaction rate, there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion PRF in the treatment of moderate burn wounds can promote wound healing, improve wound healing rate and healing quality, and the number of dressing changes is less,it can reduce the pain of patients, and patient satisfaction is high.
