Curative Effect of Modified Ziyin Yanggan Decoction Combined with Auricular Point Seed Pressing on Females with Facial Acne
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of modified Ziyin Yanggan Decoction combined with auricular point seed pressing in the treatment of females with facial acne.Methods A total of 98 female patients with facial acne were enrolled at Zhangqiu District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to January 2023.Using the random number table method,patients were divided into an observation group(n=49)and a control group(n=49).The control group received routine Western medicine treatment along with auricular point seed pressing,while the observation group received modified Ziyin Yanggan Decoction in addition to the control group's treatment.The curative effect was evaluated,and TCM syndrome scores,acne severity(GAGS scores),inflammatory factors,skin barrier function,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after 4 weeks of treatment.Results The overall response rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,TCM syndrome scores and GAGS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Serum levels of TNF-α,IL-8,and IL-6 in the observation group were also significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Additionally,the cuticle water content in the observation group was significantly higher,while transdermal water loss and pH were significantly lower compared to the control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Modified Ziyin Yanggan Decoction combined with auricular point seed pressing enhances the curative effect in females with facial acne,alleviates symptoms,improves skin lesions,regulates inflammatory factors,and promotes the recovery of skin barrier function,demonstrating high safety.
