Objective To analyze and explore the clinical efficacy of iRoot SP cold lateral compression method for dental pulp disease and its impacts on filling effect and chewing function. Methods Ninety patients with dental pulp disease admitted to the author's hospital from August 2021 to May 2023 were collected as the study subjects and randomly separated into two groups(45 cases in the study group and 45 cases in the reference group). The reference group carried out conventional hot dental glue vertical compression method, while the test group carried out iRoot SP cold lateral compression method. The clinical efficacy, filling effect, chewing function, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results After treatment, study group(97.78%)had a obviously higher total effective rate than reference group(84.44%)(P<0.05).Comparing the filling rates between the two groups, there was no obvious difference and no statistical significance(P>0.05).Comparing the chewing function of the two groups, the gingival index and bleeding index of study group were obviously lower than those of reference group(P<0.05),and chewing efficiency and bite force quotient were obviously higher than those of reference group, study group had obviously less untoward reactions than reference group(all P<0.05).Conclusion The iRoot SP cold lateral compression method has ideal effect and high clinical application value for patients with dental pulp disease.
