Study on the effect of oil shale semi-coke base mineral biochar on soil physical and chemical properties
A comparative analysis was conducted on the physical and chemical properties of mineral biochar prepared from carbonization of oil shale semi-coke and straw biochar, and relevant application experiments were conducted in three experimental fields in Majunping,Zhangye, and Baiyin. The results showed that mineral biochar had large specific surface area, small pore size and certain hydrophobicity.Similar to straw biochar,it contained high nutrients, and as a soil conditioner,it could improve soil fertility to a certain extent, and was beneficial to improve soil structure, air permeability, water permeability and water retention capacity, and it was safe and feasible as a kind of raw material for agricultural or other industrial products. After application in alkaline soil,it had a certain promoting effect on the decrease of soil pH.The application of mineral biochar can effectively increase the contents of soil organic matter, total nitrogen and water-soluble calcium, and lay a theoretical foundation for the large-scale application of mineral biochar in soil improvement with different properties and farmland planting,as well as for the construction of high-standard and high-quality farmland in Gansu.
