Study on the catalytic preparation reaction process of dimethyl carbonate from dimethyl oxalate
The reaction mechanism of decarbonylation of dimethyl oxalate to produce dimethyl carbonate was studied, and a new decarbonylation catalyst was designed and developed, the evaluation and screening of catalysts, and the optimization of reaction conditions for two reaction processes(batch reactor and continuous fixed bed)were carried out.A cesium containing solid base catalyst(mainly composed of Ba-CeCs2 CO3-Al2 O3,abbreviated as"BS-CCL")has been invented through experimental research and development of catalysts and processes for decarbonylation of dimethyl oxalate. The catalyst has a high conversion rate of dimethyl oxalate in the batch reactor process and good selectivity for generating dimethyl carbonate.
