Analysis of the impact path of green technology spillovers on the carbon emission intensity of the coal industry in Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia
The carbon emissions from the coal production and consumption process in China account for 70%~80%of the total, the coal production and consumption in Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia account for about 60%of the total in China. Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze the impact path of carbon emission intensity on the coal industry in Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia regions. The green technology spillovers in the coal industry of Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia regions are calculated by a combination method of DDF and Global-Malmquist-Luenberger index.According to the main sources of carbon emissions published by IPCC National Greenhouse Gas Guidelines, the carbon emission intensity of the coal industry in Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia regions is calculated through a hierarchical classification method, and the mechanism and impact path of green technology spillovers on carbon emission intensity are explored through structural equation model.Research has found that the green technology spillovers of the coal industry in Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia regions show a fluctuating upward trend and the carbon emission intensity shows an inverted"V"shaped trend from 2006 to 2021;there is a significant negative correlation between green technology spillovers and carbon emission intensity in the coal industry of Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia regions;the green technology spillovers reduce the carbon emission intensity of the coal industry in Shanxi,Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia regions through three impact paths composed of economic development level, industry structure, number of employees and other variables.
