Research on the safety development of coal industry in Uzbekistan and the prospects for coal mine safety cooperation between China and Uzbekistan
China and Uzbekistan are neighboring countries with a history of amicable relations,Uzbekistan consistently regards China as its foremost trading partner and principal investment source.The recent confirmation of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era heralds a new phase in bilateral cooperation within the energy and mining sectors.Uzbekistan possesses substantial coal reserves,although the exploitation and utilization levels remain low.Given the escalating domestic energy demands,the safety development of coal industry is essential to secure energy self-sufficiency,thereby supporting the overall economic growth and the acceleration of industrialization in the country.This research provides a systematic review of the development and safety governance mode of the coal industry in Uzbekistan,and an exemplary case of bilateral safety cooperation with China,and deeply analyzes Uzbekistan's demands for international cooperation in coal industry safety development,proposes suggestions for safety development cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the coal industry,which provides reference and inspiration for enhancing the cooperation between the two countries in the field of coal mine safety and supporting sustainable regional economic development,while also providing new perspectives and experiences for global energy and mining cooperation models.
