Research on the carbon emission reduction accounting system for land reclamation projects in coal mining areas
It is of vital importance to establish a scientific carbon source and carbon sink accounting system for accurately assessing the carbon emission reduction benefits of land reclamation projects in China.Based on Chinas current land reclamation standards,a systematic analysis of the categories of land reclamation project was conducted to clarify their specific contents and related activities.According to domestic and international carbon accounting standards, the main accounting elements of carbon emissions and carbon sinks were identified, and an accounting method suitable for China's land reclamation projects was selected.A case study was applied to evaluate the emission reduction effects of a land reclamation project in Mengtai Buliangou Coal Mine in Inner Mongolia. The application results showed that land reclamation in the coal mining area mainly included five major engineering components, involving four important carbon emission elements and four carbon sink elements.Carbon emissions from the coal mine land reclamation case could offset 15.94%of its carbon sink quantity.Future land reclamation work should optimize construction schemes to reduce carbon emissions, and the accounting system should be continuously improved to accurately track the actual emission carbon reduction effects of land reclamation and provide effective support for land reclamation and carbon management.
