Coal has played a positive role in China's economic and social development,and the rapid development of new energy industries,such as wind power and solar energy,still makes it difficult to change the coal-dominated energy structure in the short term.At present,the coal industry plays an important role in promoting the construction of new energy system and the transformation of energy industry at the national level,and helping to realize the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality strategy and the high-quality transformation of the economy and society in a green,low-carbon manner.Through sorting out the changes in the structure of energy production and consumption,starting from the current situation of coal production and consumption,the main situation faced by the development of the coal industry in the context of new energy system construction was analyzed based on the contents of new energy system construction.From the dimensions of energy supply chain security and stability,energy industry chain green and low-carbon transformation,energy development layout optimization and energy industry chain modernization,the development paths for the coal industry were studied and proposed.
