Study on the reasonable width of chain pillar for close distance coal seams in deep mine considering long-term stability
The long-term stability of the chain pillar for main roadway of panel with long service time in deep mine is of great significance for the safety production of the panel and the whole mine.Taking the close distance coal seam mining of Ⅰ panel of Shaozhai Coal Mine as research background, the reasonable width of chain pillar for panel main roadway considering long-term stability was studied. The creep test results of coal samples showed that the improved Burgers model could better describe the creep process of coal samples and fit the corresponding creep parameters;when the long-term stability of the coal pillars was not considered,a 65 m wide coal pillar needed to be left for separate mining of No.5 coal seam, and a 75 m wide coal pillar needed to be left for the combined impact of mining of No.5 and No.8 coal seams;when considering the long-term stability of the main roadway of the panel, the deformation of the roof and floor of the roadway gradually stabilized after 3 years when the No.5 coal seam was separately mined and a 70 m wide coal pillar was left;when the No.5 coal seam was left with a 70 m wide coal pillar and the No.8 coal seam was left with an 80 m wide coal pillar, the deformation of the roof and floor of the roadway gradually stabilized after 2 years under the combined influence of two coal mining seams, which indicated that the long-term stability of the main roadway of the panel could be ensured when 70 m and 80 m wide coal pillars were left respectively in the No.5 and No.8 coal seams at close distances.
