The Construction and Application of Confucian Culture Dictionary
The influence of the invisible hand of Confucian culture on the behaviour of family enterprises is further studied by scientifically constructing dictionaries and indicators that reflect Confucian culture.Based on this,an attempt is made to construct a lexicon and indicators that can measure the Confucian culture of an enterprise through natural language processing technology,and a three-ring model of Confucian culture is proposed.It is found that(1)the connotation of Confucian culture is centred on the ethical view,which develops dynamically with the extension of individual relationships,with fuzzy boundaries and a poorly ordered pattern,and is roughly divided into three dimensions.(2)Confucian culture influences the charitable giving behaviour of family firms,i.e.the deeper the influence of Confucian culture,the more charitable donations they make.(3)Overseas background of executives positively moderates the relationship between Confucian culture and charitable giving.In further analyses,it is found that the larger the enterprise size of the family firm,the more obvious the positive influence of Confucian culture on charitable giving.
