Research on the Impact of New Quality Productivity on the Upgrading of Industrial Structure
In the critical period of high-quality transformation,accelerating the formation of new quality productivity is the only way to adjust the industrial structure and improve industrial efficiency.Based on the provincial panel data from 2010 to 2021,this study reveals the theoretical logic of new quality productivity for empowering the upgrading of industrial structure.It is found that the new quality productivity can promote the upgrading of industrial structure,and this conclusion is still valid after robustness test and endogeneity analysis.The spatial effect analysis shows that the new quality productivity not only promotes the upgrading of the industrial structure in the region,but also effectively drives the upgrading of the industrial structure of the surrounding provinces.The mechanism test shows that the new quality productivity can reduce the misallocation of labor resources,which expands the exploration of the path of new quality productivity to the upgrading of industrial structure.Further research shows that there is regional heterogeneity in the impact of new quality productivity on the upgrading of industrial structure,and its effect is enhanced in the eastern,central and western regions.
