Digital Transformation and Green Development of the Distribution Industry
Based on China's inter-provincial panel data from 2003 to 2017,the NDDF function(non-radial directional distance function)was used to measure the level of green development of circulation, and the impact of digital transformation on the green development of the circulation industry and its role mechanism were empirically tested. The result shows that the digitalization of distribution can significantly promote the level of green development of the distribution industry and improve the green economic efficiency of the distribution industry.Heterogeneity study shows that the impact of digital transformation on the green development level of the distribution varies across industries, environmental regulation levels and the level of access circulation channels. The mechanism test shows that the digitalization of circulation promotes the green development of the distribution industry by improving the efficiency of the distribution, declining the energy consumption of the industry, and optimizing the structure of energy consumption.
