Effects of Different Regions and Varieties on Economic Traits of Linseed Production in Xinjiang
Linseed is one of the most important oil crops in Xinjiang, with high oil content and rich in unsaturated fatty acids and other effective ingredients. In order to investigate the differences among e-conomic traits of linseed varieties(lines)in different regions of Xinjiang, five linseed varieties(lines)were used to test the single plant yield and seed quality traits. The differences in economic traits of them were explored by principal component analysis. The results showed that the variability of 14 economic traits of linseed varieties(lines)in different regions of Xinjiang ranged from 4.00%to 27.00%,among which the genetic diversity index of fruit number per plant was the lowest, and a highly significant posi-tive correlation was observed between linolenic acid and iodine value,as well as plant height and process length. The comprehensive evaluation showed that there were differences in the yield and grain quality characteristics among tested varieties(lines).Flax variety Yiya 4 was the most suitable linseed variety for cultivation in Yining,Mulei and Baicheng counties, and so was Longya 10 and Baya 3 in Turks and Yecheng counties. In addition,Yiya 4 and Baya 3 planted in Yecheng County have the best economic traits,as well as Longya 10,Dingya 26 and Neiya 10 in Baicheng County.
