To improve the utilisation efficiency of ramie biomass, this study uses pectinase to hydrol-yse ramie bast. The Box-Behnken response surface methodology was used to optimise the pectinase hy-drolysis process of ramie pectin. The reducing sugar content in the pectin hydrolysate was determined by using the 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid(DNS)method. The optimal process for extracting the reducing sugar content was found to be a hydrolysis temperature of 52℃,a pectinase concentration of 4.8%,and a hy-drolysis time of 7 h.Under these conditions, the reducing sugar content of the hydrolysate could reach(10.32±0.47)mg/mL.This process is technically reliable and suitable for converting ramie pectin into reducing sugar and provides a basis for the subsequent reuse of biomass resources.
