Objective Review the research situation of Nervilia fordii in identification of medicinal herbs and chemical constitu-tion,pharmacological action and clinical application.Methods Classify and summary relevant literature of Nervilia fordii.Results In the identification of medicinal herbs,carries on the analysis from the aspects of the original plant morphology,medicinal properties, microscopic identification,common adulterants;from Nervilia fordiiin continuously isolated all compounds for the first time ;in terms of pharmacological action,relevant reports are mainly about antiviral effect,antitumor effect,analgesic effect,antimicrobial effects, anti bronchitis and pneumonia.Conclusion Provide scientific basis for quality control and utilization of Nervilia fordii.
